Course Overview

Oakhill English School’s General English (ELICOS) program will help students to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and general communication skills.

Our General English (ELICOS) program is aimed at non-native English speakers or people with a minimum to average level of English competency. Students will learn with experienced and qualified teachers in small class sizes. Upon completion of this course, students will develop the confidence to successfully communicate both socially and professionally. This course also prepares students for RGIT Australia’s English for Academic Purposes programs (EAP I, II & III).

Our course caters to students of every level, and the Starter level is perfect for students who are just beginning to learn English.
Homework, weekly tests, teacher feedback and friendly classes help students to improve their English quickly. Students also participate in excursions that help them to integrate into the local culture, understand accents and engage with local residents and businesses.

There are no specific prerequisites to enter General English. Students will be given a placement test to determine which English level is best suited to their needs.
